For larger engineering projects and representation, ESAero works closely with a network of highly experienced engineering and business development consultants from a variety of disciplines.
Mr. Cummings has 45 years experience in aircraft design and development, product design, and education. He retired from Boeing as a Technical Fellow in 2004, and started Brainernet.com, which focuses on presenting Creativity Workshops to the industry, universities, and government agencies. He holds twenty six patents in a variety of fields. In addition to his experience in the United States, Mr. Cummings has worked with Dasa and RFB in Germany, Bae in England, Aermacchi and General Avia in Italy, and Promavia in Belgium. He has also worked with both Mikoyan and Yakovlev (in the U.S.) on the development of requirements for their new jet trainer aircraft. Mr. Cummings last position at Boeing was manager of the Exploratory Concepts Group within Advanced Design/Phantom Works in Huntington Beach, California. Along with consulting, Mr. Cummings was recently Chief Engineer on the RapidEye program for DARPA, and holds a Top Secret Clearance with Special Access.
From September of 1999 to June of 2007, Professor Hall taught the capstone senior aircraft design sequence at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where he had eight proposals place first, four place second, and four place third in the Undergraduate Team Aircraft Design, Undergraduate Individual Aircraft Design, Undergraduate Team Engine Design, and Graduate Team Aircraft Design National Competitions.
Prior to joining Cal Poly, Mr. Hall was an on-site contractor at NASA Ames Research Center working in the Systems Analysis, Space Advanced Concepts, and High Altitude Missions branches supporting the ESAA and ERAST programs and five atmospheric science campaigns. He is the recipient of four NASA group achievement awards.
Mr. Hall's work in industry included serving as Manager of High Altitude RPV Programs at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company and Engineering Program Manager on the Carbon Dioxide Observational Platform System at Lockheed-Georgia Company. He was Operations Supervisor for Battelle Columbus Laboratories Aviation Safety Reporting System, Senior Project Engineer and Principal Investigator at Battelle on a variety of transportation and defense projects including free-wing/free-stabilizer feasibility studies, and Configurator and Project Engineer for North American Rockwell's Columbus Aircraft Division where he created advanced configurations for very light jets (FoxJet), T-2 replacement, OV-10 replacement, and augmenter wing VTOL applications.
Most recently, he has worked on vehicles ranging from Multi-Role Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Intercontinental Cruise Missiles to Advanced Tactical Transport Short Takeoff and Landing Demonstrators and Personal Air Vehicles as well as cruise efficient short takeoff and landing regional airliners and CESTOL dual purpose transports.
Mr. Hall has B.Sc. degrees from the Ohio State University in business administration/industrial management and aeronautical and astronautical engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer and has published over three dozen research papers, contractor reports, and a novel over his forty-five year professional career. Mr. Hall also served as the lead aircraft engineer on the government team which evaluated contractor performance on DARPA's RapidEye program.
Glen Mills is a Flight Analyst DER for FAR Part 23/25 aircraft and is authorized to witness and approve data for FAR Part 36. Mr. Mills has 25 Years of experience in performance and flying qualities, avionics, air data, noise and icing flight test, and 15 years certification program management. Certification management includes airline/executive interior and avionics reconfigurations, and special mission modifications supporting aerial reconnaissance for US and foreign military organizations. South West Aero Group associates have OEM program management experience in heavy structural modification programs and airline support. South West Aero Group supports PMA certification projects and conducts quality audits for companies working to obtain PMA authorization. Mr. Mills received his Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Glen is a commercial instrument pilot and is also a flight instructor.
Mr. Winter, who has been representing ESAero in a business development capacity since 2008, is currently Chairman and CEO of XML Visions, a small business he founded in 1998 based in San Diego, California and Reston, Virginia. XML Visions is a professional services provider for advanced data transfer engineering systems, high speed networks, secure sitcom, tactical data links, and XML content creator for S-1000-D items. He also provides DOD engineering manuals with aviation content, RFID thread assessment analysis, green procurement and military installation environmental systems planning and resource identification. Mr. Winter provides advance strategic business development support services, principally to small emerging markets and technology firms who are establishing, expanding, or augmenting their federal government products, services, and skill services bases. Strategic planning, which includes; on the ground business pursuit capture and sustainment strategy, creation of strategic technology and strategic industry partner alliances, generation of capabilities summaries and statements of qualifications, past performance synopsis and syllabus, corporate bona fides document creation, market analysis for public, private sector technology transfer and CRADA (Co-Operative Research and Development Partner Agreements) optimized for the defense, aviation, logistics, transportation security, environmental, green procurement and green assurance market segments.
Mr. Winter holds a Masters Degree in Business and Commerce from Penn State University. He is a support contractor to the USAF, SMC, NASA, DLA, DOT, ALC, SPAWAR San Diego, AFRL, and is a strategic technology advisor to 14 aviation, defense communications, information assurance, C4I, asset management and environmental compliance Fortune 50 U.S. Firms that support 292 technology generation, technology insertion, and technology support services tasking, IV&V, and strategic large and small business programmatic teaming and contract tasking support. Mr. Winter currently holds a Secret Clearance.
